The initiative “Walks with Taste – Unusual tours discovering Ravenna” returns for summer 2024. Promoted by Cristiana Zama, a licensed tourist guide, this year it is in collaboration with Alpine Enogastronomia, Chalet Garden Bistrot, and Cicchetteria Elisa. Created during the pandemic to offer a breath of culture and help Ravenna’s residents get to know their city better, it has since expanded its visitor audience. This year marks the fifth edition, featuring new routes including an itinerary along the course of the ancient Padenna River, a bicycle tour exploring Theodoric’s presence in Ravenna (in preparation for the 1,500th anniversary of his death in 2026), and an outing dedicated to the salt-making village of Cervia. Discover the history of this ancient city, born from exploiting the “white gold” – a major resource of the area – and enjoy a special evening opening of the cathedral. Six scheduled appointments will be held starting Wednesday, July 17, with three different one-and-a-half-hour itineraries. Tours start at 7:00 PM and conclude at 8:30 PM with an aperitif/dinner in the outdoor areas of the various venues.
